KiteShake review the Nobile T5 Koinobori 10m 2012

IN THE AIR The T5 Koinobori is hands down our favourite kite so far on test in 2012. Lightweight in construction but heavyweight in performance, if you're in to serious boosting then this should be your weapon of choice. High quality components and outstanding attention to detail… I guess you wouldn’t expect anything less from NOBILE. We would have scored the T5 Koinobori 10/10 but then there’s no room for improvement next year!

OUT THE BAG Simple but really comfortable bar system. We really like the push away safety system and durability of components. Clean chicken-loop for no hassle unhooking. Clean stitching and reinforcements result in a tough but lightweight kite that’s clean and fast through the air. High quality backpack with robust carry handle, bar pouch and front pocket. A really nice piece of luggage that would please any traveler.

KITESHAKE VERDICT Packed in a super tasty backpack, it’s clear that no matter what NOBILE touch results in a high quality product. From the bag to the bar and safety system, NOBILE inject huge amounts of innovation and refinement into all their products. The T5 Koinobori is a highly spirited kite, lightweight in design with thin leading edge and struts, this is a kite for people that like to go BIG. We tested the 10m in a variety of conditions but mostly 25-30knots with some real aggressive riding. Feedback through the bar is excellent with great performance when unhooked for the advanced rider but equally we would be happy handing this to an intermediate rider.
